Hi! I’m Siera Preston and I am an artist. I love using acrylic paints but I do like to explore with other mediums as well. I’ve been creating for as long as I can remember. I love to capture the beauty in people through my portraits.
I want people to really get lost in the details and the expression I create. I get a lot of my inspirations from my day to day life, the outdoors, social media and how I’m feeling has a lot to do with how my work turns out. In high school I took a lot of inspiration from Van Goghs self portraits and of other people. Drawing and painting faces were both really challenging at first but I really enjoyed watching my progress grow over the years. Amy Judd’s paintings were also such a big love of mine. I would get lost in every single one of her paintings. They were so elegant and mesmerizing. A lot of artists have influenced me including my high school art teacher.
My art has definitely grown and changed over the years as well! When I paint now I always feel myself gravitate toward vibrant colors. I don’t know if it’s because they make me feel alive or if it’s the excitement when it all comes together.
